“Processes of seeing and hearing as a passive activity, by means of which a person first begins to react, function automatically and as a matter of course. They are such a matter of course that things and processes are registered, certainly, but no longer grasped properly.

The world is becoming simple, simpler than it is in reality. We are losing all true contact to our surroundings. Life is becoming empty of content.

You will see things differently through the environment transformer “Fly Head”, “Drizzler” and “Spray Viewer”. Your eyes will hurt when you look at the disruptive field of vision before you. Your girlfriend seems odd, chopped up into fragments of a second or softly blurred in the sights of a pulsating plastic lens.

For a short time, your environment is different. But because of your experience, you still attempt to understand. You want to know exactly what is happening. Your eyes and ears work attentively.”

Haus-Rucker-Co (Laurids Ortner, Günter Zamp Kelp, Klaus Pinter) was the name adopted by a group of Austrian architects and artists in the 1970s and 80s; formation 1967 in Vienna, dissolved in 1992.
